Dan Devine Design

Websites and civic tools, from idea to live link in days.

I build working websites for campaigns, nonprofits, and local organizations by pairing AI tools with a clear goal and real content. You get a fast, mobile-ready site on your own domain, without a months-long project or a monthly builder fee.

Work

Every site below is live, built with AI, and launched on its own domain. They range from a two-day tool to an ongoing civic platform.

Solar Permit Process

Long Island has 13 towns, 2 cities, and 96 incorporated villages, and each one handles solar permits its own way. Installers lose days just figuring out which building department to call.

This site answers that in one search, then walks the project through six phases from application to final inspection, with ready-to-send email templates and a tracker that exports to Excel.

The Skills Wheel

Twelve skills I've put to work with AI to build the sites above. Spin the wheel, or pick a skill, to see what it means and where you can see it in action.

BUILT WITH AI
12 Skills, one builder, Dan Devine

    How a launch goes

AI does the heavy lifting on code, which is why these sites go up in days instead of months. The parts that make a site useful still take a person: knowing who it's for, what it has to say, and whether it works.

    1. Define the job

Who visits, and what should they be able to do when they leave?

    2. Gather the content

Your words, facts, photos, and links. Research where it's needed.

    3. Build with AI

Pages, interactive tools, and forms, generated and refined quickly.

    4. Check it

Every link, every fact, on a phone and a laptop, before anyone sees it.

    5. Launch and hand off

Live on your domain, with the code in your own account.

What I can build for you

Most projects are one focused site or tool. You own the domain, the code, and the hosting account.

    Candidate and campaign sites

Platform, bio, volunteer sign-up, and event info, ready before petitioning starts.

    Nonprofit and civic group sites

Mission, programs, board, and a way to get involved, without a builder subscription.

    Process guides and web tools

Lookups, checklists, templates, and trackers that turn a confusing process into steps, like the solar permit tool.

    Moving off Wix or Squarespace

Rebuild an existing site as fast, simple pages you control, and point your domain to it.

    About Dan

I'm a Long Island organizer and author based in Huntington Station. I started building websites for my own civic projects and found that AI tools let one person do what used to take a small team.

I'm upfront about how the work gets done. AI writes and debugs most of the code. I bring the idea, the content, the local knowledge, and the judgment about what a page needs to do and whether it's right before it goes live.

That combination is why a campaign, a nonprofit, or a small business can get a real, working site in days.
